It is extremely important for the younger generation to be aware of the sacrifices made by the early settlers here in England. We need to appreciate their sacrifices, without which life would not have been easy for us. These people left their families, friends and their country - a country in which they were nurtured. To leave and travel to an unknown country, must have been a frightening experience. This book is merely a reminder for all of us that the number of sacrifices and challenges they faced on a daily basis is something for all of us to take a valuable lesson from.
