Built in 1887, Algerian Coffee Stores is one of London's oldest existing Cafes. Opened by Algerian Muslim, Mr Hassan, this cafe has lived through two World Wars and has survived gentrification. The shop has thrived through the years and despite having been under new management since 1928, the legacy of Mr Hassan is still prevalent in the streets of Soho.
