Their work is considerate of the circumstances of the modern world, specifically within contemporary British and European contexts. The College Principal is Dr. Abdallah Rothman.
Cambridge Muslim College offers a 3 year BA honours programme in Islamic Studies, a fully accredited degree in the traditional sciences. The course covers modules including, tafsir, hadith and usool ul fiqh. As a prerequisite to the BA, Cambridge Muslim College offers an Arabic Intensive Course for prospective students to reach the required level of Arabic to start the BA Programme. The course is not a condition to attend the BA Programme, but all prospective students are expected to pass a language proficiency test. Admission is open every other year and accommodation for students is provided by the college.
The Online Diploma in Islamic Psychology, a nine-month part-time online programme offers students with theoretical and practical perspectives of psychology and the Islamic sciences. The diploma is unique in that it reorients traditional academic assumptions and understandings of human psychology towards a Qur’anic paradigmatic approach which defines human nature and psychology from the foundations of the Islamic tradition. Admissions are open every year.
The Contextual Islamic Studies and Leadership Diploma is a 1 year programme, designed to meet the educational and training needs of Dar al-Ulum graduates in the United Kingdom. Admissions have reopened again in 2023.
CMC is developing the BA Islamic Studies programme for online teaching, as well as working on the launch of a new MA Islamic Studies programme.
All prospective students, on all programmes, can be considered for a partial or full National Zakat Foundation Education Fund Scholarship, eligible for Muslims based in the UK.
Other scholarships - either full or partial - are available with varying conditions per programme. See Fees and Scholarships tab on the specific course webpages.
