The Aziz Foundation is a family charitable foundation. Its flagship programme is the Masters Scholarships programme which awards tuition fee scholarships to British Muslims who qualify for Home Fees status to study at UK Universities that are part of the Foundation’s Preferred Partner scheme. This programme includes tailored mentoring programmes for Aziz Scholars, and a calendar of events including induction days and socials. Additionally, the Foundation provides scholarships for most journalism courses and diplomas.
The Foundation has a growing Internships Programme through which they aim to facilitate invaluable industry experience for British Muslims in sectors where they are traditionally underrepresented, such as Journalism. These opportunities arise throughout the year and are advertised on the Aziz Foundation social media and website.
The Foundation is also involved in supporting British Muslim organisations with grants for independent and collaborative projects, including The Scout Association, Black British Muslim Awards and the Muslim Council of Britain’s Centre for Media Monitoring.
There is also a series of seminars from seasoned professionals held throughout the year, open to the public. When held online these are recorded and previous seminars can be viewed on the YouTube channel.
There are a range of resources (largely reports and documents) related to British Muslims on the Aziz Foundation website, including on topics like Islamophobia, Education and Family.
The Aziz Foundation has partnered with the Everyday Muslim Heritage and Archive Initiative for this Muslim History Map Project.
