Muslim Welfare House
A mosque and welfare house opened in 1984 to primarily serve the Deobandi sect of Muslims living in Oxford. The welfare house was used frequently by Muslim students at the University of Oxford. For example, it is mentioned in the Oxford Muslim Guide of 1989/1990, produced by the Islamic Society (then known as 'Oxford Society Islamic Union’) as a place where students were able to pray, alongside the Bath Street Mosque.
